MINUTES OF WIGTOFT ANNUAL PARISH MEETING HELD ON MONDAY 2nd March 2026
Present: Cllr S Brigham; Cllr S Baxter; Cllr I Mills; Cllr K Redhead; Cllr B Leggott; Ann Fletcher, Clerk to the Parish Council.
Also Present: Representatives of the: Bowls Club and Wigtoft Newsletter.
1/26 To confirm and sign the notes as minutes from the Annual Parish Meeting held on the 3.3.25.
The notes were confirmed and signed as minutes by the Chairperson, Cllr Mills.
2/26 To receive the annual report of Wigtoft Parish Council by the Chairperson, Councillor Ian Mills.
Cllr Mills read out his report. Please see next page.
3/26 To receive any presentations from groups/organisations from within the village.
Bowls Club – Peter Brigham represented the bows club. The are 3 bowling leagues. We finished 6 out of 6 in division 2. The leagues are being reformatted. Work has been done to the club. We have won a cup this year. We would like new members but we are doing ok.
Wigtoft Newsletter – I would like to thank the Parish Council for their donation. Income from adverts is going down. Current income would cover 2.5 copies this year. Could we have a write up from the Parish Council what they have done and what involved in? Ideas would be to state income and expenditure and how the money was spent. We print 230 copies and 40 are emailed out. It costs £160 per issue to produce and print.
19:45 – County Councillor Paul Lock and 1 other member of the public arrived.
4/26 Public forum
Cllr Lock advised that County Councillors will have soon have some money to donate to community projects.
Comments were made about the planning application from Auto Truck which is an agenda item for the main meeting. The concerns voiced were because of reduced space to work on the lorries onsite, this work may be done on the roadside. parking on the roadside will increase and potentially the noise levels could increase further.

Cllr Mills thanked everyone for attending and closed the meeting at 18.53. The next meeting will be held at 18.30 on the 1st of March 2027.
