ADVANCE NOTIFICATION OF ROAD IMPROVEMENTS
SCHEME: A17 WIGTOFT AND SUTTERTON JUNCTIONS
I am writing to inform you that the above scheme is in the course of preparation and that it may cause disruption to the highway network. These works are being done at night at the same time there is an overnight closure further north on the A17 to reduce any disruption as traffic flows will be reduced.
1. Description of works: Street lighting column replacement scheme.
2. Reason for works: Existing steel columns have been identified as a risk and need replacing.
3. Main contractor: Lincolnshire County Council Highways. Balfour Beatty Group.
4. Commencement date: 27th April 2026.
5. Approximate duration of works: 5 weeks.
The street lighting columns are being replaced on a one for one basis so the positions will generally remain unchanged. The existing LED streetlighting lanterns are to be transferred onto the new columns. Please see the attached plans showing the streets included within the scheme.

All reasonable measures will be taken to complete the works as quickly as possible and every effort will be taken to minimise any disruption and inconvenience which may be caused. Traffic management will be 4-way lights at both junctions.
