You are hereby summoned to attend the Annual Meeting of Wigtoft Parish Council, which will be held on Tuesday 4th May, 2021 commencing at 19:30. The business to be dealt with at the meeting is listed in the agenda. The Annual meeting will be followed by the usual monthly meeting. This meeting will be conducted via a video link due to exceptional circumstances. The business to be dealt with at the meeting is listed in the agenda.

If any members of the public would like to join the meeting by video link or by phone, please contact the clerk either by e mail or telephone (details above). If you are telephoning, please leave a message giving your name and contact number and the clerk will call you back.

The usual monthly meeting will commence with a 10-minute public forum during which members of the public may ask questions or make short statements to the Council (for a maximum of 3 minutes per person). Your attendance is necessary during this period.

AGENDA FOR THE ANNUAL MEETING

 

  1. To elect the Chairman and the Vice Chairman for the coming year and to hand over the sealed envelope containing passwords relating to the operation of the administration of the Parish Council.
  2. To arrange to receive the Acceptance of Office forms from the Chairman and Vice Chairman.
  3. To review and adopt the Financial Regulations and any amendments required.
  4. To review the renewal received for the insurance policy for all insurable risks (year 2 of a 3 year agreement).
  5. To review the Council’s subscription to Lincolnshire Association of Local Councils.
  6. To review the asset register.
  7. To reconfirm regular payments from the Council’s bank account.
  8. To review the Council’s expenditure incurred under s. 137 of the Local Government Act 1972 or the general power of competence.

  12. To complete, confirm and sign Section 1 (the Annual Governance Statement) of the Annual Governance and Accountability Return 2020/2021.
  13. To confirm and sign Section 2 (the Accounting Statements) of the Annual Governance and Accountability Return 2020/2021.
  14. To confirm the check of the bank reconciliation to 31.3.21 completed by Cllr Smith.
  15. To discuss the plans for the June meeting (face to face or Zoom).
  16. To consider the options for renewal of the virus protection package for the year commencing 9.6.21.
  17. To review the monthly play area inspection report undertaken by Cllr Brigham, to decide on actions needed and who will undertake the May monthly inspection.
  18. To further discuss the idea of holding a village fete (Cllr Brigham)
  19. An update on moving the seat in the play area (Cllr Brigham).
  20. An update on the grass cutting in the churchyard by the Community Service Group (Cllr Brigham). 
  21. To discuss the request for a donation from Lincolnshire Search and Rescue.
